The very 1st American Idol winner and one of my favorites, Kelly Clarkson!
Here's a compilation of her performances on the 1st season of American Idol:

When I first heard 'HeartBeat Song' on the radio I didn;t know who was singing the song.  There's a part of the song where she sounded exactly like Belinda Carlisle from the Gog-Go's to me and when I found out it was Kelly Clarkson I was thrilled!
