The Blue BistroThe Blue Bistro by Elin Hilderbrand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adrienne Dealey is a seasoned front desk hotel clerk and has worked at many exotic locations. She usually flees her positions due to troublesome relationships. This summer she has 3 rules written on a napkin for herself and she intends to adhere to them.

She arrives in Nantucket and gets a tip from someone on the ferry to check out the island's prestigious restaurant, The Blue Bistro. Although she has no restaurant experience, the owner of the bistro sees something in her and hires her. She is informed that this summer is the last for the Blue Bistro, as they will be shutting down for good at summers end. Adrienne wants to uncover the reason for the bistro's closing and she believes it has something to do with the chef, Fiona.

I enjoyed the intricate writing about how a restaurant operates, the grueling schedule, the descriptive writing about the fancy meals that were served and the relationships at the restaurant; employees and patrons. I felt the end of the book was kind of abrupt and felt that it needed a bit more closure.

This was the first book I've read by Elin Hilderbrand. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be reading more by this author.
