Hello and Welcome!

Hello!  Welcome to my blog.  I've been contemplating blogging for quite some time now, but kept thinking it's a waste of time and who wants to read what I have to say?  I stumble across many blogs, bookmarking them in hopes to return and maybe become a loyal follower.  I rarely do though.  So why am I blogging?  Mainly to release thoughts I have in my head that I don't get to share with anyone during the day.  Why is that you say?  Well, let me introduce myself to you.

I'm Elle* a 38 year old stay-at-home Mom (which is quite a redundant term if you ask me, because lately I haven't been at home enough to do my SAHM duties).  I have two daughters.  Em* will be 7 in December and Kaye* just turned 3 in October.  I've been married to Jay* for 11 years.  We have a 10 year old dog that we rescued from the Humane Society when he was 7 months old.

I know what you're thinking right now.  No, really I do.  "Another stay-at-home Mom blog. Gaaaaaahhhh!!!!"  I know, I know, SAHM's....flooding the internet...blah, blah, blah.  Well, I'm going to try to make this blog a little different.  Not just about the stay-at-home-Momness.  But also about the other parts of our life.  You know, we do have interests other than doing laundry, cleaning up messes, changing diapers, chauffeuring to & from school, Dr's appointments, after school activities, meals, food shopping, etc.  Most of the time our interests are set aside because of the duties we must do.  That is what a SAHM does; sets aside her interests and becomes so involved in her SAHMness that she may begin to forget who she is, what she enjoys.  Her life becomes all about everyone else.  It's just how it is for a lot of us.  I say a lot, because not all SAHM's experience being at home with their children in the same way.  Some have more help than others.  Some even have cleaning services.  Imagine that!  Also, every child is different, so we encounter all kinds of issues and dilemmas as our children grow.

One commonality though, is that we love our children and are grateful that we have this opportunity to be at home with them during these formative years.  It's not easy and it surely isn't always fun.  And to the Moms working outside of the home, I applaud you!  I do not know how you juggle the responsibilities of work with the addition of all the Mom duties.  I truly do not know if I would be able to handle it all.  Kudos to all the work outside the home Moms!

With all that said, I named this blog 'All Around The Circle' because most days that is how I feel....like I am going around in circles.  Sometimes the monotony gets to me.  Other times it is comforting.  This blog will contain aspects of my life that truly do go all around the circle.  From being a mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter and even  an acquaintance, I will try to encompass the circle as completely as I can.  Let the blogging begin!
